| Two are better than one. It’s that simple. When asked why the creative masterminds behind Hollywood’s arguably most-respected photography team, J-Squared Photography, works in “two’s,” their reasoning is so logical it’s innovative—Two sets of eyes, two original perspectives and two critical mindsets are undeniably and irrevocably better than one. Colorado-born Jared Schlachet and California-native Joe Magnani make up the duo behind the flawless portraits of everyone from the Justin Biber and Ashley Tisdale to Chelsea Handler and Larry Flynt, the casts of STAR TREK, TWILIGHT, “Entourage,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Dexter,” MTV’s “The Hills,” “The Office,” “24,” and “True Blood” and the U.S. and U.K. campaigns for Warner Brothers Music, Paul Mitchell and many more. Schlachet and Magnani both attended the venerated Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA, albeit two years apart, and were introduced through a mutual colleage in the industry who acknowledged their very similar business ethics and long-term professional ambitions. They quickly began working together and consciously decided to start a one-of-a-kind photography company where they would be equally involved in all aspects of production, artistically and technically, from conceptual planning, to shooting, through post-production. |
